Activities and recreation at Kakula extend a little further than sun bathing and good food. Be as active (or as inactive) as you wish with many organized activities taking place during the day, specializing in the exploration of the beautiful reefs and marine inhabitants in the local area.

| The Kakula SCUBA Club
Whether you are a qualified diver or never tried SCUBA before, Kakula has a wide range of dives to suit all abilities and skill levels. With open channels as deep as 120m running close to the island, we have some of the most exciting dives on offer in Vanuatu. The oceanic currents feed directly on to the reef, producing a myraid of colourful coral formations and an abundance of life. Regular sightings of reef sharks (white tip, Grey and Leopards), Eagle Rays, Turtles, Stingrays, Dugongs, Sea Horses and a thousand other species, all inhabiting the local area. With a wide range of dive sites to select, from old WWII fighter wrecks, gentle shallow reefs or ride the current through Nassariki Channel, explore a local sea mount or muck dive in the lagoon, Kakula is firmly on the Vanuatu dive map. If you have never dived before, join our experienced international dive instructors on a simple resort course, and experience the exhilaration of breathing underwater for the first time. Then make a dive with our staff on the colourful reefs, to a maximum of 12m. WARNING - diving is addictive: but do not worry. We also offer a full range of dive courses from Open Water level to Pro, so you can enjoy a great paradise holiday, and also pick up your dive ticket in the process.The dive school operates 2 daily dives, and courses on request. The centre operates the latest equipment from Mares, full safety equipment and a custom made dive platform, all under the supervision of the resident PADI Master Instructor. We make diving fun, safe and educational, with our staff having a combined 30 years of dive experience in oceans all over the globe. | Snorkeling
If you do not dive, join us on the dive boat with mask and snorkel, and one of our guides will take you out on to the reefs. With inquisitive Dungong Dungong and turtles abound, the reefs are shallow and allow a close up look of the marine life and corals. Full equipment, safety gear and guide are provided.

| Kite
The fastest growing sport in the world, and we have found out quite accidently that Kakula is one of the top spots in the South Pacific. With a handful of kiters that have turned up on the island so far, they have all left with the biggest smiles, all of them pleading for us to get kakula on the kite map. So watch this space!! For kiters, please note that Kakula does not provide equipment or instruction in this activity at this time, but will provide rescue boats and other facilities to assist. -"The best kiting since Egypt, the best in the Pacific so far, the dogs b*?*?*k's" - Mr. Ronan Harvey, United Kingdom and fanatic Kite man.

| Canoeing
For the energetic we have a small fleet of one man canoes, excellant for making a circimnavigation around the island. Join us on longer routes to look for WWII wrecks, turtles and Dugongs that live in our lagoon. We also have a few traditional Ni-Vanuatu dug out canoes, not so easy to use, but great fun and an unmissable photo opportunity.

We can also arrange local excursions to visit local villages and other places of interest in North Efate.

| Big Game Fishing

Vanuatu is famed as a great destination for big game fisherman. With professional game boats available from Port Vila, we can organize fishing directly from the island. Please be advised that conditions apply. Contact us for further information.
