Being in paradise, does not mean that you cannot enjoy all the luxuries of home. The islands accommodation is based at "The Lodge", a modern unit based in the cooling vegetation of the islands interior, but only a minute from the pristine beaches. With all the facilities of a city hotel, you will want for no comfort when you are here. Also supported by a great kitchen, the biggest complaint we receive is the extra weight you may put on!!
| A Millionaires Island
Kakula was originally projected to become one of the leading exclusive resorts in the world. The island was leased in 2000 by a group an American investor and the plan was to turn the island into a resort selling at over $45,000 per night. Other commitments in the USA, meant that the original idea has been "put on hold" for the time being, but they took the decision to open the island for a more reasonable nightly rate. The good news is that now everybody can come to the "Jewel of the South Pacific", an enjoy the nicest beaches in Vanuatu. The bad news is that there is no Tom Cruise or Halle Berry on the beach!!

To experience Vanuatu at its best, split your vacation between Kakula and our sister resort Tamanu on the Beach, located 15 minutes out of Port Vila. Famed as being one of the best restaurant in the country, you will find a warm welcome at Tamanu, mouth watering food and beautiful accommodation. It makes an excellent base to explore Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu.

Join us for the day, either come to relax on the beach, have lunch or take a dive. Kakula is also open for day guests to come and enjoy the beauty of the island. Day guests package include lunch and use of facilities on the island, so if you are in Vanuatu come and spend the day with us. Or bring your own boat or yacht to the island, with safe anchoring, the use of the island facilities and a resupply service Kakula makes a great stop over.

For the ultimate in privacy, Kakula can be rented on an exclusive basis, for either groups, commercial use or just so you can have your own private island.
